Before buying technology - ask us first!

Several customers have recently bought new equipment without consulting with me first - the cheek

OK, I understand that on very rare occasions you may decide to go elsewhere for your purchases but please, just a quick phone call to me first to discuss it may save you a lot of pain/expense in the future. Two situations come to mind, both involving photocopiers. One customer needed to print to their copier but only after buying it discovered that the USB only connection on it doesn't work over long distances, and alternative ways to work round this are costly/clunky. The other purchased a copier in difficult financial circumstances (new start up) but I'm convinced I could have got them a better deal if they had asked me first and would have sourced it through using a local company.
